Dr. Gary Wang, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Jade Capital Management

Gary Wang is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Jade Capital Management LLC, a leading provider of venture and growth capital for top entrepreneurs in China’s financial services sector. Mr. Wang is also one of the founding members of Quanta Capital, a Bermuda based insurance and reinsurance company listed on NASDAQ, and China Rapid Finance, China’s leading consumer finance solutions provider voted Private Equity International’s Venture Capital deal of the year in 2007. Mr. Wang was formerly the head of Asia Credit Derivatives of Barclays Capital and was ranked by Institutional Investor as one of the top three global credit derivatives houses after two years of operations. Mr. Wang started his career as a quantitative analyst at Wells Fargo Bank and subsequently an options trader of Barclays Capital in New York. Mr. Wang is on the board of China Rapid Finance, Shanghai Harvest Network Ltd., and Douban Inc. He has a BS in Physics from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, San Diego.

Dr. Joe Zou, Founder at ZZventure Holdings

Joe Zou is an angel investor based in New York City. He was a Partner at Taconic Capital Advisors LP, a multi-strategy hedge fund with over $9bn AUM. Prior to joining Taconic Capital, Joe was a vice president at Goldman Sachs' Principal Strategies Group specializing in volatility arbitrage and derivatives trading. Before his Wall Street career, Joe Zou was a Long-term Member at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, and a Research Associate at the Physics Department of Stanford University. Joe received a B.S. in Physics from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Princeton University.
