Mentor in Law: Founding and Leading Your Own Firm

– Never thought about having your own law firm? Or intimidated of the uncharted sea especially because you are an immigrant? It is almost a stereotype that lawyers are conservative, yet our PKU alumni mentors have shown tremendous entrepreneurship by founding and leading their own law firms.

– Participants are encouraged to submit questions and/or topics to us before the event.

Mentors:

Ruth Jin (金路德), PKU Law School, L.L.B. 1993-1997, is the founder & partner of The Jin Law Group (金路德律师事务所). Ruth has extensive experience in corporate and securities laws, and has been selected as a Rising Star by the Super Lawyer magazine in 2013.

Frank Xu (徐国俊), PKU Law School, Master of Laws 1999-2001, is the founder & partner of Law Office of Frank Xu f.k.a. Frank Xu LLP (富睿律师事务所). Frank specializes in cross-border investment, acquisition related financing and business litigation in U.S. federal and state courts.

Cost: $30 for PKU alumni; $35 for non-alumni
